Our Pesto and Gnocchi Masterclass is a great introduction into the Ligurian cuisine.. Pesto being probably one of the most famous of all the delicious dishes in Liguria.. Pesto Classes have become more and more sought after due to the expanding popularity of Basil Pesto all over the world. In this class our aim is to make sure that you take home the knowledge of how to prepare a real Ligurian Basil Pesto in the most authentic and traditional manner using a pestle and mortar.
Our ingredients are always carefully selected and either grown by us organically or sourced locally, this ensures that the taste and the aroma will be the best possible quality..To enhance the experience we will also be preparing either fresh pasta or fresh gnocchi on our large wooden farmhouse table al fresco in the Monterosso sunshine, on our terrace with a stunning Seaview. (weather permitting, or we also have beautiful indoor facilities) Pasta and Gnocchi are also prepared in the authentic way by hand, and the dough is also cut and shaped by hand, making your Italian cooking experience authentic and traditional.
Cooking School Pesto Lesson
This class commences at 11.30am and lasts approximately 2-3 hours.. during which time you will sit down on our stunning Seaview terrace and be served for lunch the food which you prepared during the lesson..During the pesto class you will learn to make fresh pesto and fresh Gnocchi using age old traditional methods.. The course also offers an insight into how this delicious green delicacy has evolved over the ages.
The experience is a lot of fun and also educational.. All age groups will enjoy and benefit from this Pesto Class in Monterosso and we hope to be the very best Pesto Class in Cinque Terre. An authentic Italian Cooking Lesson
The Pesto Class costs 100 euros per adult and 90 euros for children under 12, the price includes the food for lunch which you will prepare during the pesto lesson, transport from the main village which is 10 minutes uphill to our cooking school, recipe sheets and a special Cinque Terre Cookery School Apron as a gift.
