Incredible Cooking Class…
We made a three course meal with a yummy local cake dessert and got to keep the recipes to try again at home. Then we went outside and ate our creations which turned out delicious! We were given a bottle of wine and water and rolls to complete the meal. (since two of the dishes on our cooking day involved either anchovies or mussels – I didn’t plan to eat them after I prepared them. Upon learning I was a vegetarian; they quickly offered me a salad to replace the anchovies and grilled veggies in lieu of the mussels. Wow! I didn’t expect that.
Jonathan picked us up in Monterosso and stopped on the drive up to the restaurant so we could take a picture of the town below.
Rusty, our chef, spoke terrific English and answered all our questions. The setting is quite idyllic and comfortable.
They were very responsive: I wrote 3 places mid-day about availability the next day for 2 persons and heard back ASAP only from them. That level of service was indicative of our experience.

Cooking Lessons Monterosso…
We had an amazing time at our cooking class! he family is very nice – they picked us up in Monterosso and took us to the location. We made some recipes requests with our booking and they were very accommodating! The class was supposed to be over at 2:00 and we stayed till 4:00 because we were having such a great time! I would 100% do this experience again if I ever have the chance to return to Cinque Terre Cooking School!!!

Great Experience…Cooking Class
My husband and I visited Monterosso and decided to book this event due to the reviews on here. Overall, we very much enjoyed the class. There were 6 people in the class and we were able to cook outside! The weather was perfect and the view is amazing. We were able to drink wine/beer during the cooking process and made a total of 4 dishes which we then ate. It was a fun afternoon and we would recommend this for anyone visiting the area!

The highlight of our Cinque Terre trip! A MUST DO!
This was the best thing we did in Cinque Terre and the thing I will remember the most! Jonathan (and his adorable little girl) picked us up in Monterosso and we first drove up to his uncle’s lemon grove where we picked fresh lemons to use in our meal. Then we headed up to the gorgeous hotel/restaurant and were offered breakfast before our class. We were the only ones cooking that day so we got tons of individual attention!
Jonathan and his chef were so fun and informative and we had a blast mashing up pesto and making our meals. The food was excellent and they accommodated my shellfish allergy with an alternate menu selection. In all, the cooking itself was awesome, but it was the family that really made it special. They welcomed us into their hotel/restaurant and made us feel like honored guests. We left feeling full and happy and couldn’t stop talking about the experience for days! Trust me – this is worth every penny!!!
